La Grand Maison
When Sophie and Adam initially started their preparations for their big day, they put the word out among friends and family to find someone to shoot their wedding video. A mutual friend put us in contact, and after an initial Skype call or two, we were all set. I was booked to pack my bags and head to the south of France, my very first destination wedding! Sophie and Adam's dream day was located near the idyllic Loire Valley, with the stunning backdrop of a traditional 15th Century manor house.
I hopped on a flight on the Friday afternoon, and after a couple of hours driving through the French countryside, I found my way to venue to meet up with the couple-to-be. After a quick recce of the venue to gather my bearings, a few test shots, and a beer to finish off the day's travelling, I headed back to my accommodation to rest for the big day to follow.
The day of Sophie & Adam's wedding went anything but smoothly, but with the help of their family and close friends, they had the most perfect day imaginable, which naturally came across in their final wedding film and photo gallery.
I'm extremely proud of what I was able to capture and create for this amazing couple, it was great to hear how happy that the photos and the videos made them, and the tears (of happiness) is what I always aim to achieve with my work. It was a pleasure to meet these two people, and what a great story they have to tell!
